Multinetwork Analysis of a Carbon- and Nitrogen-Responsive Metabolic Regulatory Network

Description :

An Arabidopsis multinetwork (Gutiérrez et al. 2007) was used to generate a regulatory network consisting of metabolic genes (blue hexagons) regulated by carbon, light, and nitrogen treatments. This predicted metabolic regulatory network, containing genes involved in energy metabolism and amino acid biosynthesis, is connected by several transcription factors (green diamonds) that may act as network hubs to coordinate regulation of carbon and nitrogen metabolic genes. The processes associated with nonmetabolic genes, also potentially regulated by these transcription factors, are listed in colored ovals; numbers of genes within each category are shown in parentheses.
