Improving Biomass Conversion at GLBRC

Description :

Ming W. Lau at Michigan State University examines a transgenic yeast strain capable of cofermenting ethanol from glucose and xylose. Using AFEX-treated corn stover, this strain can grow and produce ethanol without additional nutrient supplementation or detoxification.
